The Solberg Tower

We paid a visit to the Solberg Tower on our way back from the stone industries last week. The tower and park complex is located just a short distance from the Swedish border. The site itself pays tribute to cultural heritage, however it has a modern approach in its construction materials; characterised by concrete and corten steel elements. I love building models. I love everything that involves creating something, to be fair – but building models, experimenting with materials, adding all those lovely details…It’s fantastic.

Impressions from Gothenburg

We spent a couple of days in Gothenburg as an inspirational introduction to the course LAA224: shaping with vegetation.

Guided tour through Trädgårdsforeningen park, day one
Highlights were the exquisite use of perennials (Piet Oudolf’s work) and the palm house (where the most exotic species of plants were kept).
